Required Course Resources

Each course at Vysoká škola manažmentu has a standardized textbook, chosen by its katedra. To find out which textbook is used for your course, look at your course syllabus or contact Slovakia's Instructional Materials Coordinator, Eva Micurova (emicurova@vsm.sk)

It is vital that all teachers use the approved textbooks and cover the same material in order to ensure the consistency and quality of degree programs. Moreover, students do and will complain if the textbooks they pay for are unused in a class. However, you are more than welcome to develop your own supplementary materials as well as assign readings from other resources.

You can get the textbook for your course in the library or textbook office. In Bratislava, contact Ctibor Belak (cbelak@vsm.sk), textbook room (Room 114). In Trenčín, Eva Micurova can be found in the ground floor archives.

Changing Textbooks in VŠM Courses
If you are dissatisfied with the textbook used in your course, please contact your katedra head or the Instructional Materials Coordinator about the possibility of changing textbooks. The procedure is explained in this document: Procedure for Changing a Textbook in a VŠM Course

Skripta for VŠM Courses
Because suitable and sufficient resources often do not exist in the Slovak language, VŠM has established a process in which faculty can write and publish a textbook for a course. If you are interested in writing a skripta, please contact your katedra head. The procedure is explained in this document: Procedure for Writing a Skripta for a VŠM Course
