Pracovná cesta do USA

Tím riešiteľov grantu EÚ, ktorý získala VŠM a ktorého cieľom je vytvorenie nového bakalárskeho študijného programu v manažmente informačných systémov sa zúčastnil v termíne medzi 14. a 20. novembrom konzultácií a konferencie k téme spoločného študijného programu na pôde City University of Seattle v Bellevue, USA. V rámci programu odborníci VŠM z radov akademických a administratívnych pracovníkov prerokovali s americkými kolegami otázky prenosu kreditov medzi navrhovaným študijným programom a programom BSIS (Bachelor of Science in Information Systems) CityU of Seattle (akreditovaný NWCCU a ABET), otázky e-learningových modulov a portálových riešení, aspektov akreditácie, otázky systémov zabezpečenia kvality študijných programov a ďalších atribútov spoločného programu. Po úspešnom absolvovaní programu bude možné študentom udeliť ako absolventský diplom VŠM, tak diplom CityU of Seattle.

Coordination of the dual syllabi and execution of the prepared dual study program. Its main aim is to specify the mutual principles in solving four below issues. The named partners’ role is to discuss the specified topics. The rest of participants are welcome to express their standpoints in the context of the courses they teach, design or organize.

Discussions among Antonia Valasikova, Busikova and Andrea Stropkova and Eric Fretheim, John Stager, and Melissa Mecham on the pre-designed study documents with their special attention to:

  • Completeness of the proposed study program
  • Limits in differences between national syllabi
  • Freedom in the localization of course content
  • Design the control mechanism
