Student Bonus Trip to SEATTLE – „Study & Fly“

With the aim to enrich the academic experience with an exciting travel component, VSM in cooperation with City University of Seattle offers new students in the BSBA and MBA programs a unique opportunity to travel to Seattle, USA – the home of CityU of Seattle. As part of the trip the students will be able to receive a warm welcome in their alma mater - City University of Seattle , get a tour at the Boeing production plant in Everett, which is the largest building on Earth by volume, visit the hi-tech company Microsoft, have a taste of coffee in the 1st Starbucks cafe in Seattle downtown, have a breath taking view from the Seattle Space Needle (184 m high), or to walk the city center with the harbor and famous „Pike Place Market“.

The students will have a unique opportunity to experience the atmosphere of the USA’s „smartest city“, which entrepreneurial ecosystem ranked 4th in the world (creative industry, start up firms, etc.) and which is home of sport teams such as Seattle Seahawks (NFL), Seattle Mariners (MLB), or Seattle Sounders FC (MLS). Last, but not least, the students will have a chance to enjoy the „shopping spree“ at the Seattle Premium Outlets with 125 shops.

Conditions for Participation

• The opportunity to participate at a one week trip to Seattle is open to every new BSBA student, who has earned at least 120 credits and to every new MBA student, who has earned at least 30 credits in the program. The student can apply for the trip immediately upon earning minimum credits required.
• The school will cover the cost related of the round trip airline ticket in dates specified and picked by the school. The student will cover the cost of accommodation, food and drinks, insurance, local travel, and admission fees.
• It is expected that 2 students will share 1 room. If a student wants to have a single occupancy room, he/she will be charged a surcharge.
• Eligibility to participated at the trip cannot be transferred to another person, but your friend, family or relative may participate at the trip for full cost.
• Students participating in this program are not eligible for any other discount or tuition reduction.
• From the moment of sending application for the trip, the application is binding. The length of the trip cannot be altered.
• The name of the participant can be changed once, latest 8 weeks prior to departure at a fee of 200 €. In less than 8 weeks prior to departure no changes can be made. If a student decides to cancel his/her participation at the trip in less than 8 weeks prior to departure, he/she will be charged full price for the airline ticket.
• In case a student does not earn the minimum amount of required credits he/she loses the opportunity to participate at the trip to Seattle..
• For the travel purposes, the students will need a biometric passport, register for the ESTA program and pay required fees.
• In case of low interest VŠM reserves the right to cumulate participants until their minimum number is 10 students.
