Long-term Student Accommodation Guide (Bratislava)

This guide is optimized for students attending the Vysoká škola manažmentu (VŠM) / School of Management located at Panónska cesta 17, Bratislava. 

The exact public transport (IMHD) bus stop located directly next to the university building is called "Ševčenkova". It is the very next stop after the main Petržalka Railway Station ("Stn. Petržalka"). Key bus lines serving the "Ševčenkova" stop are 93, 94, and N93. 

• ⚠️ IMPORTANT: In Bratislava, all bus stops are request stops ("na znamenie"). To get off, the student must always press the "STOP" button inside the bus well before reaching the stop. 

Private Student Residences & Apartments (Sorted by proximity to VŠM)

• STUDENT RESIDENCE (Petržalka, Viedenská cesta 7) – Located at the beginning of Petržalka near the Incheba complex. It offers high-standard rooms, a fitness center, and a great international student community.
  • Commute: Take direct bus No. 91 or 191 straight down Panónska cesta, get off at Stn. Petržalka, and walk just a few minutes to the school (or transfer to lines 93/94 for 1 stop to Ševčenkova). The journey takes around 10 minutes.
• DOWINA Student Residence (Old Town, Námestie slobody 26) – Located right in the historical city center.
  • ⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE: This residence is strictly for boys/male students only and runs in a specific Catholic community spirit.
  • Commute: Take direct fast bus No. 93 from Kollárovo námestie or Hodžovo námestie and get off directly at the Ševčenkova stop. The ride takes around 11 minutes. [
• My HOME Apartments (Novohradská) – Offers modern, fully furnished private apartments near the wider city center.
  • Commute: Take a short walk to the Zochova or Blumentál stop, then catch direct bus No. 94straight to Ševčenkova. The bus ride from Zochova takes only 7 minutes. 
• STUDENT HOUSE (Ružinov, Tomášikova 34) – A modern private dormitory in the Ružinov district.
  • Commute: Walk to the nearby Bratislava-Nové Mesto train station and take a direct regional train straight to Stn. Petržalka. From there, the school is right next to the station area (or 1 stop by bus 93/94 to Ševčenkova). The train ride takes only 13 minutes. 
• DIMAEL Hostel and Apartments (Rača, Žitná 1) & Uninova Hostel (Rača, Dopravná 51) – THE FURTHEST OPTIONS. Located on the exact opposite side of Bratislava (Rača district).
  • Commute: The commute takes 45–50 minutes with multiple transfers (tram No. 3 combined with bus No. 93 or 94). They are cheap, but not practical for daily travel to VŠM.
• Hotel / Hostel PRIM (Zlaté Piesky, Stará Vajnorská 37) – Budget accommodation on the far outskirts of the city. Not recommended due to a complicated 45-minute commute with multiple transfers

If you prefer renting a private apartment or a single room in a shared apartment, look directly in the Petržalka district (neighborhoods: Dvory, Lúky, Háje) near the school using these platforms:

• Facebook Group: Accommodation in Bratislava – The most popular tool for international students. Search within the group for "Petržalka". You will find daily offers for private rooms in shared flats directly from owners, often within walking distance from VŠM.
• Erasmus Play Bratislava – A global student housing meta-search engine. You can search for verified student rooms using an interactive map to find a place right next to Panónska cesta.
• RENTOLA Bratislava – Set your filter directly to the Bratislava-Petržalka district to look for small studio apartments (garsónka) or private rooms near the school.

Summary Recommendation for VŠM Students

1. For maximum comfort & fast commute: Choose Student Residence (Viedenská cesta) or My HOME Apartments.
2. For a vibrant city-center life (Boys only): Choose Dowina (direct fast bus No. 93 right to the Ševčenkova stop).
3. For the best price & walking distance: Search for a private room via the Facebook group or Erasmus Play in the immediate vicinity of the school (look for streets like Ševčenkova, Švabinského, Prokofievova, Fedinova, or Tupolevova). This allows you to walk to school on foot.
